Section 11
Prohibition on acquiring and acquiring private land within the boundaries of the National Forest
Notwithstanding anything else written in this paragraph, any private house or land within the boundaries of the National Forest or acquisition of such house or land shall be subject to the following provisions:-
(a) Private land that has been duly registered outside the National Forest and houses built on such land shall not be acquired unless it is necessary to acquire it for the protection of the National Forest or its borders and when acquired according to that, two bigahs of the land of one person in Terai and In the valley and in the hills, more than four ropani land will not be acquired without the prior approval of the Government of Nepal, and in the Terai, more than 5 bighas and in the valley and in the hills, more than 10 ropani, such land cannot be acquired except with the consent of the owner of the land.
(b) Real estate that is surrounded by national forest or registered in the name of a person within the national forest can be acquired and divided within the boundaries of the national forest.
